An HPLC method was proposed for simultaneous determination of salvianolic acid B, puerarin and paeoniflorin in Zhishenzhenggan capsules.RP-HPLC anal. was carried out on a Phenomenex Gemini C18 column (250 mm × 4.6 mm, 5 μm), mobile phase was binary solvent system of acetonitrile-0.05 mol/L-1 potassium dihydrogen phosphate at the flow rate of 1.0 mL/min-1, the detection wavelength was 230 nm, and column temperature was 30°.The linear ranges of salvianolic acid B, puerarin and paeoniflorin were 0.15-2.26 μg (r = 0.9999), 0.10-1.53 μg (r = 0.9999) and 0.20-3.06 μg (r = 0.9999), resp.; the average recoveries (n = 9) of salvianolic acid B, puerarin and paeoniflorin were 98.85%, 99.15% and 99.51% in Zhishenzhenggan capsules, resp.The method is simple, reliable, and can be used for quant. control of Zhishenzhenggan capsules.
