Objective To investigate the protective effect of Cabbage Qianggu Tablets on bone in ovariectomized induce osteoporosis in rats.Methods SD rats were divided into blank control group, model control group, estradiol pos. control group and cabbage strong bone tablets 0.45, 0.90, 1.80 g·kg∼(-1)dosage groups.Osteoporosis model of ovariectomized osteoporosis rats was established.After 15 days administration, the blood levels of inorganic calcium, phosphorus, alk. phosphatase(ALP), femoral bone d., femoral dry weight and ash weight were measured, and the maximum femoral load(N)was determined by a three-point bending test.Results The serum calcium and phosphorus bone d., bone weight and maximum load of all the dosages of Cabbage Qianggu Tablets increased significantly in the treatment group.The 1.80 g·kg∼(-1) group had the best improvement in serum calcium and phosphorus content; The 0.45 g·kg∼(-1 ) group had the best effect on improving femoral bone d.; The group of 0.90 g·kg∼(-1) could increase the dry weight and gray weight better; The 0.45 and 1.80 g·kg∼(-1) dose groups can better enhance the maximum load of the femur.Conclusion Cabbage Qianggu Tablets might be a potential medicine for ovariectomized-induced osteoporosis in rats.
