Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD) is a mental health condition where intrusive thoughts (obsessions) and repetitive behaviors (compulsions) are seen. Most individuals with OCD also experience anxiety and depression, which can increase the severity of their symptoms and complicate treatment. Anxiety usually arises from the distress caused by obsessive thoughts, whereas depression can develop due to emotional exhaustion and difficulties in daily life. 100 such subjects were included for the study. Subjects were confirmed as diagnosed patients of OCD. It was found that the middle-aged adults, 36-45 years scored highest in the category of severity of OCD on Y-BOCS followed by 46-60 years category and 26-35 years category whereas “18–25” year range age group has the least “Y-BOCS” score. The study found a strong positive correlation between “Y-BOCS and HAM-A” scores (R = 0.5902, p < .00001), indicating that higher “OCD” symptom severity is associated with increased anxiety levels. This highlights the relationship of OCD and anxiety symptoms. Asignificant but weaker positive correlation was observed between Y-BOCS and HAMD scores (R = 0.2005, p = .046036). This suggests that while OCD severity is related to depression severity, the relationship is not as robust as that with anxiety.

TO STUDY THE PSYCHOSEXUAL DISORDERS IN MALE PATIENT WITH PSYCHIATRIC ILLNESS ATTENDING PSYCHIATRIC OUTPATIENT CLINIC IN TERTIARY CARE HOSPITAL

One of most prevalent signs in depression is sexual dysfunction. Although decreased libido is the most prevalent symptom, other possible symptoms include trouble achieving or maintaining an 'orgasm', 'male erectile dysfunction', and issues with 'sexual desire'. 'Anxiety' is usually common mechanism via which biological, psychological', social, and moral factor contribute to the weakening of the 'sexual response'. The 'neurobiological expression' of anxiety is a complicated subject, although it mostly includes the release of adrenergic neurotransmitters.Arousal, orgasms, and sexual performance can all be adversely affected by sympathetic dominance.100 male subjects were included for the study which were aged between 18-55 years of age and diagnosed with depression and anxiety disorders. The patients were evaluated and Detailed Proforma of psychosexual disorder including socio-demographic details, marital history, relationship with partner, sexual history, present sexual functioning, physical examination, mental status examination,libido/interest, arousal/ performance and ejaculation/orgasm satisfaction will be recorded for every case. Using the 'Hamilton Anxiety Rating Scale' (HAM-A) and 'Hamilton Depression Rating Scale' (HAM-D), the cases will be evaluated for the intensity of their anxiety and/or depression symptoms. The 'Arizona Sexual Experiences Scale' (ASEX) will be used to measure the cases 'sex drive', 'arousal', 'penile erection', 'orgasmic ability', & 'orgasmic satisfaction'. The findings indicate moderate levels of sexual dysfunction, with orgasm satisfaction being the most affected domain. In our study sex drive dysfunction, arousal dysfunction, erection dysfunction, orgasm dysfunction, and orgasm satisfaction dysfunction were 70%,70.8%,71%,72.2% and 77.8% respectively. Pearson correlation between 'Hamilton Anxiety Rating Scale score' & ASEX [Total] was r=0.2614 (P=.008615) there is strong positive correlation between HAM-Aand ASEX Total score and Pearson correlation between 'Hamilton Depression Rating Scale score' & ASEX [Total] was r value 0.3813(p value .000091)there is strong positive correlation between HAM-D and ASEX Total score

COMPARATIVE STUDY ON THE EFFECTIVENESS OF INTRALESIONAL MMR VACCINE VERSUS INTRALESIONAL CHOLECALCIFEROL (VITAMIN D3) IN THE TREATMENT OF WARTS

Background: Human papillomaviruses (HPVs) are the common, benign, and self-limiting growths on skin and mucous membranes that produce warts. Immunotherapy is a novel approach to illness management that involves biological agents that alter the immune system. There are various treatment modalities available for the treatment of warts. The current study evaluates the efficacy of intralesional MMR vaccine and intralesional cholecalciferol (vitamin D 3) in the treatment of warts. Comparative study on the effectiveness of i Objectives: ntralesional MMR vaccine versus intralesional cholecalciferol (vitamin d3) for warts. We carried our hospital-based prospective stu Methodology: dy on 80 cases of clinically diagnosed patients with warts presenting in our OPD over a period of 18 months. Detailed history, clinical examination was done for diagnostic purpose. Data was analysed statistically using mean, standard deviation, Chi square test and Fisher's exact test. GROUP A (40 ) Results: individuals were given 0.5 ml MMR vaccine and GROUP B (40) individuals were given 0.2 ml vitamin D3 into the largest wart. The participants in this study ranged from 12-60 years old. The MMR vaccination and vitamin D3 were both safe and well tolerated, according to our study's result. However, cholecalciferol, or vitamin D3, responded somewhat better to injection-induced wart resolution. When compared to the MMR vaccine, cholecalciferol (Vitamin D3) showed a greater rate of tolerance and a superior clinical profile of response. So, we finally concluded Conclusion: that Vitamin D3 showed both better result and less adverse effects.
