OBJECTIVE To establish a fingerprint method of analyzing Shuganning injection by HPLC.METHODS The chromatog. column was ZORBAXSB-C₁₈ column (150 mm × 4.6 mm, 5 μm).The mobile phase consisted of methanol-0.05% phosphoric acid was used with gradient elute at a flow rate of 1.0 mL·min^-1.The detection wavelength was at 238 nm, the column temperature was 30°C and the injection volume was 5 μL.RESULTS According to the selected chromatog. conditions, 13 common peaks were obtained for standard fingerprint chromatog. with baicalin peak as the reference peak.The similarity of 20 batches shuganning injection was not lower than 0.9998.CONCLUSION This method was simple, accurate and sensitive which could be used to evaluate the quality of Shuganning injection.

In this article, Jungan Yin extract from Shuganning injection was used as the research object.The content of chlorogenic acid was determined by high performance liquid chromatog. for the quality control of Yinchen extract and Shuganning finished product.

Objective: To determine geniposide in Gardenia jasminoides extract by HPLC.Methods: Chromatog. column was Dima C18 (250mm × 4.6mm × 5μm); column temperature was 40°C; the mobile phase was composed of methanol, water and phosphoric acid; the detection wavelength was 238nm.Results: The linearity was good in a range of 24.6-98.4 mg/mL, with an average recovery of 99.1%.Conclusion: HPLC is reliable for determination of geniposide in Gardenia jasminoides extract
