The immunopharmacol. action of total paeonia glucosides injection (TPGI) in mice was studied.Effects of TPGI on delayed hypersensitivity, carbon clearance, hemolysin response, immune organ weight and spleen lymphocyte proliferation in mice were observedTPGI at 200-300 mg/kg i.p. per day for 7 days could remarkably decrease the delayed hypersensitivity and carbon clearance, and 64-256 μg/mL TPGI could inhibit the spleen lymphocyte proliferation induced by ConA.TPGI in proper dose could depress special cellular immune response and the function of the mononuclear cell, macrophage and T lymphocyte.
