The synthesis technol. of main intermediate of elbanizine, 4-chloro-2,6-dimethyl-3-nitro pyridine was described.Dehydroacetic acid was used as original material, which was prepared through hydrolysis, ammonia solution, nitration, chlorination to synthesize the target compound, 4-chloro-2,6-dimethyl-3-nitro pyridine.The synthesis technol. has advantages such as mild conditions, simple operation, lower requirements for production equipment and higher total yield.The total yield of the four synthesis steps is 22.3%.The chem. structure is identified by 1H NMR, mass spectrometry and elemental anal.
