In order to use corn steep liquor to produce yeast, we cultured the yeast using desterilized culture media after adjusting pH of culture media to 4.0, approx. 10 g/100 mL wet biomass of yeast was achieved when cultured by flask shaking, while 20-30 g/100 mL wet biomass of yeast was gained by culture in fermentor.Adding the yeast just cultured into the lysine broth which was just adjusted to pH4.0, then continue fermentation about 6 h under sterilized conditions, after that, the residue glucose of the lysine broth was decreased and the viscosity of the lysine broth was reduced.This finding not only provides a solution to the pollution problem of corn steep liquor but also improves lysine production progress drastically, and likely induces economic benefit and social benefit.
