Anal. solution for the wind-induced acceleration of the structure with passive dampers based on Davenport spectrum is obtained, and the optimal parameters of passive dampers are studied by using the comfort-based and dynamic reliability-based optimal design.Firstly, the anal. solution for the acceleration of wind-induced response associated with the comfort of the structure of the first-order mode is got.Secondly, according to Extreme Value Theory of random process, the average maximum wind-induced displacement of the structure is got.Thirdly, the ratio of the standard deviation of the first-order modal displacement of the structure with passive dampers to that without passive dampers is defined as the index of damping effect and it is used as the optimal objective, which has degrees of comfort and dynamic reliability for the restrictive conditions. Finally, the optimal parameters of passive dampers are got by the improved Ant Colony optimization; An example is given, therefore, a series of method for the optimum design of passive dampers structure based on the constraint of comfort and dynamic reliability are established.
