HPLC anal. was performed on an Aichrom C18 column (250 mm × 4.6 mm, 5 μm).The mobile phase consisted 0.1% phosphoric acid-acetonitrile (92:8) and the flow rate was 1.0 mL/min.The detective wavelength was at 254 nm and column temperature 30°.The calibration curve showed a good linear relationship in the range of 20-300 mg/L (r = 0.9999) for silver sulfadiazine.The average recovery of silver sulfadiazine was 99.6% (relative standard deviation (RSD) = 1.06, n = 5).The method was simple, sensitive, reproducible, and suitable for quality control of the cream.
