The formula of glucosamine hydrochloride gels was optimized.Central composite design-response surface method was used to optimize the formula.Amounts of Carbomer 980 NF (X1, g), azone (X2, g) and 1,2-propanediol (X3, ml) were evaluated as the dependant variables.Validation of the optimized formula was conducted.The optimized formula consisted of 1.72g carbomer 980 NF, 3.67g azone and 16.89mL 1,2-propanediol.The accumulative release percentage was up to 80.1%.And there was no significant difference between the measured and the predicted.A credible model is established using response surface method and the formula of glucosamine hydrochloride gels is optimized.
