Ultrasound-based Response of Enthesitis to Upadacitinib in Psoriatic Arthritis
Primary objective To evaluate the peripheral enthesitis response to upadacitinib treatment by BMUS and DMUS, in PsA patients at week 24. Secondary objective: 1. To evaluate the peripheral enthesitis response to upadacitinib treatment by BMUS and DMUS, in PsA patients at week 12. 2. To evaluate the clinical response of enthesitis to upadacitinib by LEI, at week 12 and week 24. 3. To evaluate the clinical response of disease activity by DAPSA, at week 12 and week 24. Study Design: single-arm, observational longitudinal, prospective study Population: The study population will consist of adult patients (aged ≥ 18 years old and ≤ 65 years old) with PsA according to CASPAR classification criteria, who have been prescribed upadacitinib over the course of routine practice, in accordance with the applicable approved label and local regulatory and reimbursement policies ("In patients with psoriatic arthritis, upadacitinib would be a therapeutic alternative after failure, inadequate response or intolerance to csDMARDs and anti-TNF") and have at least one ultrasound-determined peripheral enthesitis.
Randomized, Open Clinical Trial to Evaluate the Effect of Dry Needling on the Temporomandibular Joint in Subjects Who Have Suffered a Whiplash as a Result of a Traffic Accident
The transportation industry is growing rapidly and the most popular mode is overland by road. Traffic accidents are the most direct and serious risk to the lives of Western people. A large number of traffic accidents occur on the roads each year, especially those caused by motor vehicles on motorways and urban ring roads, often resulting in massive loss of life. According to the World Health Organization (WHO), 1.35 million people die each year worldwide. Whiplash is the most common injury in motor vehicle collisions, affecting 83% of injured people. The temporomandibular joint (TMJ) is one of the most complex joints in the human body, since in addition to performing functions in dental occlusion, it does so in the neuromuscular system. Due to the relationship of the neck with the mandible, the main objective of the study is to determine if there is an improvement in pain and functional limitation in general by applying the dry needling technique in the temporomandibular joint musculature.
Impact of Exercise on Asthma Control and Management in Adults
The aim of this study is to evaluate if physical activity could improve asthma control and management in adults. With this purpose we enroll asthmatic patients between 18-64 years old, and randomized them into 2 groups: in the first, patients will receive some workshops about asthma en physical exercise; in the second no educational intervention will be done. All patients will use a step counter in order to evaluate their activity during the study. Spirometric values and questionnaries about asthma control and quality of life will be recorded for all patients. Finally 2 groups will be comparated in order to search any difference in quality of life and asthma control.
