An HPLC method was established for the determination of seven main components-Danshensu (1), salvianolic acid B (2), notoginsenoside R1 (3), ginsenoside Re (4), ginsenoside Rg1 (5), ginsenoside Rb1 (6), and tanshinone II A (7) in Fufang Danshen tablets.A Zorbax SB-C18 column (4.5 mm × 250 mm, 5 μm) was used with the mobile phase of 0.125% formic acid solution-methanol for gradient elution at the UV detection wavelength of 281 nm to detect compound 1, 2, and 7.The others were detected by ELSD.The calibration curves for 1-7 were linear in the ranges of 0.015-0.075, 0.015-0.075, 0.05-0.25, 0.02-0.10, 0.015-0.075, 0.025-0.125, and 0.025-0.125 μg, resp.Their average recoveries were 100.3%, 99.1%, 100.3%, 98.3%, 102.6%, 102.1%, and 97.1% with RSDs of 1.8%, 2.8%, 3.2%, 3.1%, 2.9%, 1.9%, and 2.7%, resp.
