Objective:To establish a inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry(ICP-MS)method for determination of 12 kinds of elementalimpurities(Cd,Pb,As,Hg,Co,V,Ni,Li,Sb,Cu,Al and Fe)in compound sodium lactate and glucose injection.Methods:Bi,Ge,In,Lu,Rh,Sc and Tb were chosen as internal standard elements,and an ICP-MS method was adopted with following conditions:measurement mode was collision cell mode with kinetic energy discrimination,the nebulizer flow was 1.0 L·min∼(-1),the flow rate of helium was 4.5 mL·min∼(-1) and the auxilliary flow was 1.0 L·min∼(-1).The method was validated.Results:Regression coefficients of standard curves of those 12 elemental impurities are above 0.999.The recovery rates of spiked samples ranged from 90.0%-107.3%.In repeatability test,the RSD was less than 2.0%(n=6).The RSD of intermediate precision test was less than 3.0%.The determined values were well below the permitted daily exposure(PDE)of elemental impurities in ICH Q3D Guideline For Elemental Impurities.Conclusion:The ICP-MS method has a high sensitivity,a strong specificity,a fast anal. speed and requires a small amount of sample.This method can support the quality study of 12 elements in electrolyte injections.
