A Phase II Trial to Evaluate Functional Imaging in Prediction of Response to Abemaciclib for Advanced Hormone Receptor-Positive, HER2-Negative Breast Cancer
This phase II trial tests the accuracy of functional imaging (FFNP)-positron emission tomography (PET)/computed tomography (CT) to predict response to abemaciclib plus endocrine therapy. Abemaciclib is a drug used to treat certain types of hormone receptor positive (HR+), HER2 negative breast cancer. Abemaciclib blocks certain proteins, which may help keep tumor cells from growing. Endocrine therapy adds, blocks, or removes hormones that can cause cancer to grow. FFNP PET imaging is a form of x-ray that uses FFNP as an imaging agent that may provide more precise information about the location of tumors that "light up" with FFNP than a PET scan alone can provide.
Phase II Study of 18F-FFNP Breast PET/MRI in the Assessment of Early Response of Breast Cancer to Presurgical Endocrine Therapy
This clinical trial will investigate an estrogen-regulated parameter as an early measure of endocrine therapy response: progesterone receptor (PR) protein with a progestin-based radioligand, 18F-fluorofuranylnorprogesterone (18F-FFNP). The overall purpose of this research is to test the efficacy of 18F-FFNP PET/MRI for predicting response to presurgical endocrine therapy and to determine the quantitative reliability of 18F-FFNP breast PET/MRI in patients with newly diagnosed ER+/PR+/HER2- primary breast cancer.
Evaluation of Endometriosis With 18F-fluorofuranylnorprogesterone Positron Emission Tomography-Magnetic Resonance Imaging (PET / MRI)
Purpose: The aim of this study is to assess the sensitivity and specificity of FFNP PET/MRI for diagnosis of endometriosis.
Participants: A total of 24 participants will be recruited from individuals with clinically suspected endometriosis.
Procedures (methods): This is a prospective, one arm, single center study of 24 subjects with clinically suspected endometriosis to demonstrate FFNP PET-MRI's clinical utility for diagnosis of endometriosis.
