The main objective of this paper is to observe the effects of DGI on mice leucopenia models induced by cyclophosphamide. Mice leukopenia models were established by i.p. injection with cyclophosphamide and then treated with DGI. The levels of peripheral hemogram, thoracic gland index, spleen index, liver index, bone marrow karyocyte count and cell life cycle were determined and pathol. sections of bone marrow karyocyte were observed The results showed that DGI could obviously raise the counts of white blood cell, Hb, red blood cell, thoracic gland index, spleen index and the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05). DGI could promote recovery of cell life cycle for bone marrow karyocyte (P<0.05). It was concluded that DGI has an apparent leukogenic effect on cyclophosphamide induced leukopenia in mice.
