Objective: To compare the botanical characteristics, yield and quality of different germplasm of Chrysanthemum indicum, so as to provide basis for the selection of excellent varieties. Method: Six Chrysanthemum indicum germplasms from different counties of Dabie Mountain were collected and transplanted to the new species nursery of Yangxin in Hubei to observe the phenol. period and morphol. characteristics. The stem diameter, plant height, crown width and yield were measured at the flowering period, and the content of buddleoside was measured by UPLC. Result: There were significant differences in leaf size, ear, stem color, coat and flowering period among different germplasms of Chrysanthemum indicum. The variation coefficients of inflorescence diameter, group diameter, number of lingual flowers, number of lingual flowers, length of lingual flowers, width of lingual flowers and total pedicels were 11.49%, 18.76%, 8.71%, 14.72%, 10.81%, 27.43% and 27.33% resp. Among the six germplasm resources, Luotian in Hubei Province had the most flowers per plant. Tongcheng in Anhui Province had the highest dry weight of 100 flowers. Tongcheng in Anhui Province had the highest yield. The content of buddleoside in Huangchuan of Henan, Shucheng of Anhui and Tongcheng was unqualified, and the content of buddleoside in Huoqiu of Anhui, Xinzhou and Luotian of Hubei was qualified, and Xinzhou of Hubei had the highest content. Conclusion: The plant morphol. characteristics and quality of wild chrysanthemum have rich diversity, and Xinzhou and Huoqiu provenances can be used as the priority candidate materials for variety registration.
